Synopsis

WAR ME NEVER

Strip me of my embellishments
Take me as I am
I wonder then, would you still,
Hold your daggers against me?

Because my entrails are the same
My spine is the same
As yours.
I'm you, you're me, from without.

The miniscule of change
Which makes a you and a me,
It is a necessity, Not an anomaly
For you to perceive it so.

Don't be a fool, don't be euphoric
Because if with this logic,
Then you hurt me as much as
You hurt you.

So if not for mine
Then atleast for your own,
spare the hurting, let go
Together, let's be just one.

This poem is about accepting each other as we are, without any external adornments or superficial qualities. The speaker wonders if others would still treat them kindly if they were stripped of these embellishments.

The speaker then emphasizes that despite any differences or perceived changes between individuals, fundamentally we are all the same. Others need to understand this and not hold grudges or hurt others unnecessarily.

The poem concludes with a call for unity and harmony, suggesting that by treating each other with kindness and respect, we can create a world where we are all united as one.
