Leaving your school permanently after more than a decade can be really heavy on your heart. But moving ahead in life also means leaving back old memories that include your childhood friends, teachers, school premises and numerous small things that did not matter earlier. Today, when I am thinking about leaving my school after class 12th exams, I can count those things in this little farewell poem. Please comment below if you can correlate with this poem.
Here’s a sample farewell poem for your school:
Farewell to the halls I roamed,
The friends I made and the teachers I’ve known.
To the laughter and joy, to the tears and the strife,
I’ll take with me memories of this place all my life.
Farewell to the chalkboard and the ringing bell,
The endless lessons and the endless well.
Of knowledge and wisdom, a foundation so strong,
That I’ll carry with me wherever I belong.
Farewell to the sports fields, to the races we ran,
The games we played, the battles we’ve won.
To the sweat and the tears, to the cheers and the pride,
I’ll cherish the moments of this school by my side.
So here’s to the future, a road yet to tread,
With all that I’ve learned, I am ready ahead.
And though I’ll be leaving, my heart will remain,
With the memories of this school and the love that we’ve gained.
